BBS Trustee Training Seminars

BBS News posted on 20 January, 2016

BBS will be holding its next two day training course on 20th and 21st April 2016. The course is held at BBS’s office in Bristol city centre. We would be delighted if you or any of your colleagues would like to attend.

The two day course covers all elements of the Pension Regulator’s Indicative Syllabus, which sets out the scope of knowledge and understanding required by trustees. We have split the sessions so that the more fundamental issues, e.g. legal framework, trustee’s duties, funding and investment basics, are covered on the first day, and some of the more specific topics, e.g. the statutory funding objective, investment strategy etc. are covered on day two.

The course will be relevant to all trustees and in particular, to new trustees and any existing trustees who need a refresher on the scope of knowledge and conversance required. Separately, the course may be of benefit to senior company employees who have a direct involvement with their company’s pension scheme by providing an insight to the statutory requirements placed on trustees.
