State Pension gender pay gap revaled by recent analysis

Which? have recently undertaken an analysis of the DWP database of UK benefits information which has revealed a significant discrepancy between the value of the state pension payments received by men and women.

While the average woman could expect to receive £125.98 per week, the average man could expect more, with an average weekly payment of £153.86.

The study also showed that those who had qualified to receive the state pension since the introduction of the new system in 2016 are better off than those who claim their pension under the old regime
