BBS Trustee Training Seminars
Jul 28, 2011
Following the success of the BBS trustee training seminars that have been held over the last few years, we will be running the next two-day training course on 19th and 20th October 2011. We would be delighted if you or any of your colleagues would like to attend.
The two-day course covers all of the elements of the Pensions Regulator’s Indicative Syllabus, which sets out the scope of knowledge and understanding required by trustees. We have attempted to split the sessions so that the more fundamental issues, e.g. legal framework, trustees’ duties, funding and investment basics, are covered on the first day, and some of the more specific topics, e.g. the statutory funding objective, investment strategy etc, are covered on day two.
The course will be very relevant to all trustees and, in particular, to new trustees and any existing trustees who need a refresher on the scope of knowledge and conversance required. Separately, the course may be of benefit to senior company officials who have a direct dealing with their company’s pension scheme by gaining a clearer insight into the statutory requirements placed on trustees.
