Against a background of significant market volatility, clients have been raising concerns about scheme funding.  BBS has prepared a short update, which provides a reminder of trustees’ responsibilities in such circumstances.  Whilst many schemes have a long-term perspective that enables them to ride out periods of market turbulence, action may be appropriate in particular cases.  The key message is to discuss the issues with your Scheme Actuary if you have any concerns.
