Government to consult on default retirement age

The Department for Business Innovation & Skills (BIS) has published the "Phasing out the Default Retirement Age consultation" which outlines a six-month transitional period ending with the full abolition of the default retirement age in October 2011.

The closing date for responses to the consultation is 21 October 2010.
