The Trustees of the Britannia Building Society Pension Scheme have filed a High Court claim against Eversheds and Mercer. The Trustees allege that they were given negligent advice when the scheme equalised benefits in the 1990s.
Separately, Allen & Overy faces allegations of negligence from the Trustees of the Centrica Pension Plan.
These claims have sparked fears that there could be a flurry of similar cases against law firms.
