Trustee secretarial services
The role of the pension scheme secretary plays a crucial part in ensuring your workplace pension scheme is managed efficiently and effectively.
At BBS, we typically provide secretarial services as standard for our administration and workplace pension consultancy clients. This additional support for your trustees gives extra peace of mind that your scheme is being professionally managed on a day-to-day basis.
Our standard service includes:
- arranging meetings, preparing and issuing agenda packs, producing draft minutes and following up action points
- maintaining/updating the risk register (internal controls), preparing the annual budget and timetable (business plan) and maintaining the conflicts of interest register
- overseeing the production of the annual report and accounts, member communications (annual newsletter/funding statements etc) and maintaining the 4myscheme website
- arranging member nominated trustee elections and maintaining the trustees’ training log
We issue agenda packs containing all relevant papers, bound in a single document, at least one week prior to the meeting. Draft minutes are then issued within one week of the meeting.
Our aim is to ensure that everything runs efficiently, thereby enabling the trustees to focus on the important issues and decisions to be made.
